Our People
Maori are the indigenous people of Aotearoa New Zealand. They settled in their own tribal regions and established living systems based on the land and nature. Their lifestyles connected them spiritually to mauri or life forces such as the mountains, land, rivers, seas and lakes. Villages were established where people only gathered sufficient food through fishing or hunting. A number of small huts or whare offered shelter.
History or whakapapa was passed down through generations by incantations or chanting. Today a more lively form of dancing and singing is used through haka.

Our Performers
Our company offers the opportunity for Maori people from different tribal regions to be actively involved in sharing our culture and history through song, dance, guiding, and the opportunity to visit our Marae or homes.
